Then, you have to slide the air conditioning unit into the window opening and attach it to the mounting brackets.

After doing so, you have to lower the window down on to the top of the unit. You also need to pull out the extensions on each side of the air conditioners and you also have to attach them to the window frame.

In order to maximize efficiency, make sure that the air conditioning unit fits snugly in the window opening. This will keep the cool air in and the hot air out, which means that it will help maintain the temperature at a constant degree and that the air conditioning unit will stay idle for a much longer time.
